Quick Snapshot:

We are searching for a driven, technically curious Associate Product Manager with hands-on experience in Personal Financial Management (PFM) products within the banking, telecommunications, or fintech industry — and a growing understanding of how Agentic AI systems are reshaping financial services products.

The ideal candidate is someone who understands how banks and telcos think about financial engagement, knows what good PFM looks like from a user and business perspective, has a genuine interest in how AI agents and autonomous systems are being applied in financial products, and can translate that knowledge into clear, actionable requirements that engineering and design teams can build from.

If you sit at the intersection of financial domain knowledge and AI-era product thinking — and want to shape a product that will be used by millions of banking customers across APAC and EMEA — this role is for you.

What’s the role?

  • Lead requirements gathering and scoping sessions in collaboration with engineering, design, and business stakeholders — translating business goals and user needs into structured, well-prioritised product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Apply deep PFM domain knowledge to challenge assumptions, identify gaps, and proactively surface requirements that may be overlooked — covering areas such as transaction categorisation, cashflow forecasting, savings journeys, financial goal-setting, AI-driven nudges, and personalised product recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain detailed product documentation, including PRDs (Product Requirements Documents), feature briefs, user story maps, and functional specifications — ensuring all documentation is kept current as requirements evolve across sprint cycles.
  • Work closely with the UX/UI Designer to validate that design solutions align with functional requirements and reflect real user workflows within banking and financial services contexts.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the product team and engineering squads for requirement clarifications, scope queries, and edge-case resolution during development and testing phases across all stages of the product lifecycle.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking of PFM solutions across banking, telco, and fintech sectors to inform feature prioritisation and business impact.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and functional QA by reviewing built features against defined acceptance criteria and raising issues clearly to the relevant engineering team.
  • Assist in defining and tracking key product metrics and success criteria for each layer — working with the Senior Product Manager to ensure measurement frameworks are built into the product from day one.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies — sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives — contributing to a well-organised, well-prioritised backlog that keeps timely deliverables.

Who are we looking for?

Domain Expertise in BFSI

  • 3–5 years of product management or product owner experience, with at least 2 years working directly on PFM, digital banking, financial wellness, or consumer financial engagement products within a bank, telco, fintech, or financial SaaS company.
  • Strong domain knowledge of PFM concepts and user journeys — including transaction enrichment and categorisation, budgeting and savings tools, cashflow analysis, financial goal-setting, spending insights, and AI-driven financial nudges.
  • Proven experience writing clear, structured PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria that engineering teams can build from without ambiguity.
  • Familiarity with open banking frameworks, banking data standards (e.g. CDR, PSD2, or regional equivalents), and financial data aggregation concepts is a strong advantage.
  • Experience working in agile product development environments — comfortable with sprint ceremonies, backlog management tools (Jira, Confluence, Linear, or equivalent), and iterative delivery.
  • Ability to engage credibly with enterprise banking or telco clients and internal stakeholders — translating business requirements into product specifications and explaining technical constraints in business terms.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data — product analytics, user research findings, and market benchmarks — to support prioritisation decisions and validate requirements.
  • Exposure to B2B SaaS product environments and an understanding of how platform configurability, multi-tenancy, and white-labelling requirements differ from consumer product builds.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to produce documentation that is precise, concise, and actionable without requiring senior manager review of every detail.
  • Highly organised, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple-layer workstreams simultaneously within a time-bound project structure.

Agentic AI & Technical Understanding

  • Working knowledge of AI and machine learning product concepts — sufficient to define requirements for AI-powered features, including recommendation engines, next-best-action systems, predictive models, and autonomous decisioning workflows, without needing to write the code yourself.
  • Familiarity with agentic AI concepts — understanding how AI agents perceive inputs, make decisions, take actions, and learn from outcomes — and the ability to translate these into clear product requirements and operator-facing configuration specifications.
  • Understanding of feedback loop design in AI-driven products — capturing real-world outcomes such as conversions, engagement signals, and churn indicators, and feeding them back into the intelligence engine to improve agent accuracy over time.
  • Awareness of AI explainability, auditability, and compliance requirements within regulated financial services environments — able to specify guardrails, override mechanisms, and transparency features that give bank operators confidence in autonomous agent behaviour.
  • Familiarity with data pipeline concepts, event-driven architectures, and API-first product design — sufficient to engage credibly with engineering and data teams when defining data ingestion, enrichment, and signal-processing requirements.
  • Experience working alongside AI/ML or data science teams to define model requirements, evaluation criteria, and performance thresholds is a strong advantage.

What’s on offer?

  • A flexible work culture where we embrace a fully remote or hybrid work environment.
  • Collaborative environment and the opportunity to work with a leading player in the Martech and Fintech space.
  • Opportunity to work with global and regional tier-one enterprises across the banking, insurance, retail, and telecommunications sectors.
  • Excellent career development opportunities and internal mobility for cross-functional pathways embedded in our culture — a clear progression path to Product Manager for the right candidate.
  • Work with a globally hand-picked talent pool of passion-driven people who power some of the largest brands globally, leveraging Perx’s SaaS platform to engage with 50M+ consumers daily.
  • Unlock the future of customer engagement with us — explore the thrilling fusion of gamification, behavioural science, and AI, where your work will empower businesses to acquire, engage, monetise, and retain customers through cutting-edge, data-driven experiences.

If you want to shape the evolution of next-gen products, this role is for you.

Join us to build AI-powered experiences – rooted in behavioural science and gamification – that keep customers coming back for good.
