Step 05 - Merchant Microsite

Empowering your merchants with easy reward redemption and tracking.
The Perx Merchant Microsite is a web-based platform that enables your merchant partners to manage reward transactions and redemptions — without the need for any system integration on their end.

Merchants can:

  • Create reward transactions
  • Redeem rewards using QR codes
  • Track redemption history in real time
This microsite is not dependent on your app integration method — it’s configured based on your reward redemption user journey.

Merchant User Access Setup

To provide merchants with access:

  1. Your team or Perx TPM creates a merchant user via the Merchant Module.
  2. Once a user email is added, the merchant receives an invitation email to complete their account setup.
Note: Access to the Merchant Microsite requires a separate subscription and will only be enabled if it has been included in your agreement.

Final Pre-Launch

Checklist

Make sure everything’s in place before you launch your first campaign.
One of the critical aspects of your setup is establishing a reliable data communication channel between your system and Perx. This ensures that both historical and real-time customer data flows smoothly into the Perx platform – powering accurate targeting, segmentation, rewards, and reporting.
Your assigned Technical Project Manager (TPM) will assist in setting up the most suitable inflow method based on your systems and data needs.

1. Platform Setup & Access

  • Complete the Tenant Admin account setup via the email from Perx’s Technical Project Manager (TPM).
  • Create user roles and access groups for internal business users through the dashboard.
  • Log in to the dashboard and begin exploring modules like Campaigns, Rewards, Rules, and Audiences.
Note: Refer to the Platform Access & Setup section for the full API documentation.

2. Data Inflow & API Configuration

  • Decide your preferred method of sending customer data to Perx (API, SFTP, Kafka, Bulk Upload).
  • Ensure your technical team has configured APIs or set up SFTP/Kafka as per Perx’s shared credentials and documentation.

3. Data Outflow & Communication Channels

  • Confirm the marketing communication channel (e.g., Webhook, MoEngage) with your Perx TPM.
  • Share the required API credentials, documentation, and access URLs for the selected Marcom channel.

4. Microsite Setup

  • If using Microsite Webview, confirm the UI design with the Perx team so it matches your mobile app.
  • Once UI is approved, ensure your technical team starts integrating the microsite as a webview in your mobile app.
  • If using Native implementation, begin integrating Perx APIs within your app as per the user journey.

5. Merchant Microsite (if subscribed

  • Connect with your Perx TPM to complete the Merchant Microsite setup.
  • Confirm the merchant microsite UI meets your brand requirements.
  • Perx TPM will guide you through creating merchant users and completing their access setup.

6. Campaign Planning & Launch Prep

  • Define your campaign objectives (e.g., acquisition, retention, engagement, rewards).
  • Upload customer data (if applicable) to personalize journeys.
  • Use the dashboard to preview, test, and QA your first campaign before launch.

You're All Set!

Congratulations on completing your onboarding! We’re thrilled to officially welcome you to the Perx family – a growing community of bold brands transforming everyday customer interactions into rewarding, engaging experiences.

You’re now ready to start creating dynamic campaigns, drive measurable growth, and unlock the full power of personalized engagement.

Step 06 - Data Inflow

Sending customer and transaction data to Perx.

Supported Data Inflow Methods

1. Supported Data Inflow Methods

  • This is the most common and efficient method for sending data to Perx.
  • Use Perx’s public APIs to push user, transaction, and loyalty data, among others, in real time.
  • Common API events include:
  • This is the most common and efficient method for sending data to Perx.
Note: Refer to the Platform Access & Setup section for the full API documentation.

2. SFTP Setup ( Recommended for batch uploads )

  • Ideal for processing large volumes of data in scheduled batches, not in real-time (e.g., bulk user creation or transaction logs).
  • The Perx team will help configure a secure SFTP folder, where you can upload CSV files for Perx to process.

3. Kafka Consumer Setup (For enterprise-grade streaming needs)

  • Enables high-throughput, real-time data ingestion using Kafka Consumers.
  • Best suited for scalable, automated data streams — such as event-driven transaction or user data.
  • The Perx Technical & DevOps Team will assist with the configuration

4. Bulk Action via Dashboard (For manual uploads)

  • Use the Bulk Action feature within the dashboard to manually upload or update:
    • Users
    • Transactions
    • Rewards Loyalty Points
This method is useful for quick testing, minor updates, or ad-hoc campaigns.

What’s Next?

Now that we’ve set up how your data flows into Perx, let’s look at how we send data out — including reports, webhooks, and third-party integration points.

Data outflow

Loading
75%

Step 07 - Data Outflow

Sending real-time event data from Perx to your systems or marketing tools.
As part of your integration, Data Outflow refers to how Perx sends customer actions and event data from our platform to your backend systems or third-party tools in real time.
Your Perx Technical Project Manager (TPM) and our support team will help set up one or more of the following communication channels based on your subscribed configuration:

Supported Data Inflow Methods

1. Webhook Integration (Recommended for real-time triggers)

  • Webhooks allow Perx to push real-time event notifications when a user takes a specific action (e.g., campaign participation, reward redemption).
  • This requires a Webhook API setup in your backend. You’ll need to provide:
    • Webhook API URL
    • API Key / Authentication credentials
  • Once the Webhook is set up, when the customer takes any action which triggers specific events, a push event will be sent in a standard payload format.
  • Perx will send event payloads to your endpoint in a standard format. [View standard event formats]
Note: Refer to the Platform Access & Setup section for the full API documentation.

2. Kafka Consumer Setup

  • Ideal for high-throughput, real-time data streaming for automated communications and notifications.
  • Perx will send customer events and transaction data through Kafka topics to your system.
  • Our Technical and DevOps team will guide setup and configuration. [View Kafka Consumer setup guide]

3. Other Marketing Communication Channels (e.g., MoEngage)

  • If you’re using a Marcom platform like MoEngage or others, Perx can integrate push events into that tool.
  • This integration depends on your contracted subscription and setup scope.
  • You’ll need to provide:
    • Your Marcom platform’s API URL
    • API documentation
    • API credentials

Step 01

Infrastructure Setup

Setting the foundation for your Perx Connect+ experience.
Perx Connect+ is a cloud-native SaaS platform hosted on AWS, built to scale and evolve with your business needs. Once you’re onboarded, your dedicated Perx Technical Project Manager (TPM) at Perx will work with our Infrastructure and DevOps teams to provision your platform in the AWS Singapore region – unless another region is specified in your contract.

You'll receive access to three environments

UAT (User Acceptance Testing)

For your internal admin testing and platform exploration. All campaigns, user journey testing, and other platform exploration can be done in this UAT environment. This can be mapped to your internal QA/testing environment.

Pre-Production:

Mirrors your Production environment but uses a separate database. It allows you to test real use cases before going live. Any bug fixes applied here are reflected in Production. This environment can be mapped with your UAT and/or Production Testing environment to test all use cases before going live.

Production:

Your live environment, where all configurations are visible to end customers. This should be mapped to your internal Production setup.
Note: If you’ve requested a different hosting region, our DevOps team will configure the infrastructure accordingly – always ensuring enterprise-grade security and compliance. This may require additional working days. Our team will work closely with you to complete the setup and keep you informed throughout the process.
