This holiday season millennials will dominate spending amid uncertain economic outlook
According to PWC, this holiday season, 35% of shoppers plan to spend more than they did last year. High-earning young shoppers, these big spenders skew male and live in metropolitan areas. In addition to spending on their families, they will also spend more on themselves than the average holiday shopper.
Overall, consumers plan to spend an average of $1,430 on gifts, travel and entertainment this year — very similar to the $1,447 they spent last year. Trust Bank, Singapore’s first digital native bank partnered with Perx Technologies to drive mobile-first customer engagement. 60 days from launch, Perx enabled Trust to acquire over 300,000 new customers who completed over 120,000 actions and transactions.
Trust Bank launched in September 2022 as a part of Singapore’s new wave of digital banks. It supports Singapore’s goals to further strengthen its financial sector for the digital economy of the future. As part of their launch, Trust kicked off their operations with a rewards campaign for first-time customers offering users digital vouchers that are redeemable upon sign-up.
