We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Scientist to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to the development and implementation of advanced analytics solutions to drive our product vision and strategy. You will bridge the gap between data acquisition and consumption, ensuring the smooth flow of high-quality data for insights generation and decision-making fueled by AI and machine learning adoption.
The Data Scientist drives value for the business by leveraging AI and machine learning. Work with product and engineering teams to define the problem statement and develop solutions with advanced analytic techniques to address key business challenges.
What’s the role?
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand needs and identify opportunities through processing of structured and unstructured data.
- Develop and implement machine learning models for various business problems, including classification, regression, recommendation systems, and anomaly detection.
- Developing prediction systems and machine learning algorithms.
- Design, reviewing, implementing and analyzing of algorithms that will substantially impact the company’s understanding of its data.
- Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and data cleaning to prepare data for modeling.
- Evaluate, recommend, architect and build big data platform(s) solutions understanding the business needs.
- Oversee the process of data exploration & preparation, the conduct of experiments, review of model performance, and presentation of results to business stakeholders for their feedback.
- Manage the team to facilitate deployment of finalized solutions to the production environment.
Who are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, IT, Math, Sciences, or technical discipline (MSC preferred)
- Candidates will have a minimum 3 years industry experience using acceptable technology and tools working in a complex systems and development environment building and managing complex products/solutions.
- Ability to quickly prototype experimental solutions and develop robust, maintainable production systems.
- Hands-on experience with ‘Big Data’, data mining and predictive analytics.
- At least 3-4 years experience in programming languages such as Python, Typescript, Java, Scala, etc.
- At least 2-3 years of machine learning or AI frameworks like Pytorch, Tensorflow, Scikit-Learn, Deep Learning, etc.
- Cloud certificates in AWS, Azure, GCP are also a big plus for consideration.
- Parallel computational frameworks like Spark, Flink experiences.
- Modern data warehouse like Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query experiences.
- Containerised, CI/CD, IaC, Orchestration Tool, OOP are a plus.
- Strong results-driven personality, with a high level of enthusiasm, energy and confidence.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility and integrity: be able and willing to work hands-on, independently or with a small team providing leadership.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with cross-functional teams at all levels and in front of enterprise customers.
- Must be self-motivated, resourceful, diligent, and adaptive.
- Good analytical and quantitative skills with a good understanding of making data-driven decisions and exhibited experience working with Data Science and statistical analysts.
- Possess strong Project Management skills to help in the successful guidance and direction to other team members whilst working hands-on in delivering and implementating data architecture solutions and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.
