Step 07 - Data Outflow

Sending real-time event data from Perx to your systems or marketing tools.
As part of your integration, Data Outflow refers to how Perx sends customer actions and event data from our platform to your backend systems or third-party tools in real time.
Our onboarding teamYour Perx Technical Project Manager (TPM) and our support team will help set up one or more of the following communication channels based on your subscribed configuration:

Supported Data Inflow Methods

1. Webhook Integration (Recommended for real-time triggers)

  • Webhooks allow Perx to push real-time event notifications when a user takes a specific action (e.g., campaign participation, reward redemption).
  • This requires a Webhook API setup in your backend. You’ll need to provide:
    • Webhook API URL
    • API Key / Authentication credentials
  • Once the Webhook is set up, when the customer takes any action which triggers specific events, a push event will be sent in a standard payload format.
  • Perx will send event payloads to your endpoint in a standard format. [View standard event formats]
Note: Refer to the Platform Access & Setup section for the full API documentation.

2. Kafka Consumer Setup

  • Ideal for high-throughput, real-time data streaming for automated communications and notifications.
  • Perx will send customer events and transaction data through Kafka topics to your system.
  • Our Technical and DevOps team will guide setup and configuration. [View Kafka Consumer setup guide]

3. Other Marketing Communication Channels (e.g., MoEngage)

  • If you’re using a Marcom platform like MoEngage or others, Perx can integrate push events into that tool.
  • This integration depends on your contracted subscription and setup scope.
  • You’ll need to provide:
    • Your Marcom platform’s API URL
    • API documentation
    • API credentials
