Quick Snapshot:

The Director of Engineering is a leadership role where you will be driving Perx’s engineering strategy and execution. You will be responsible for on time delivery of our products and services. You will define and measure the metrics for engineering efforts towards our product goals.

What’s the role?
  • Oversee front-end, back-end, devops, QA and data teams and their projects to deliver a flexible, scalable and customer-centric product that meets overall business objectives
  • Monitor reliability and performance of all internal systems to suggest improvements
  • Ensure compliance with security regulations
  • Prepare and manage the engineering department’s budget
  • Develop and deliver high-impact, forward-looking roadmaps for the team by working collaboratively with the Product team
  • Own the technical planning & requirements gathering to delivery phases from designing a robust architecture to enable the platform transition to a PLG model
  • Help solve cross-team problems at scale
  • Build a high performing engineering team by working closely with the HR team to attract, hire and coordinate trainings as required for the team
  • Review and update policies relevant to internal systems and equipment
Who are we looking for?
  • Work experience as a Director of Engineering or in a similar senior-level position in an engineering department
  • Extensive experience with cloud technologies and DevSecOps including orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
  • Hands-on experience in back-end and front-end development
  • Familiarity with QA processes, tools and SDLC
  • Experience in leading an agile development team
  • Strong team player, critical thinker, analytical, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience hiring, retaining and growing a team through growth start-up phase – from product-market fit through growth stage
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience with ISO 27001 certification process is a plus
